Internalization of proteins mediated by cell-surface bound CFAG peptide. The ability of CFAG peptide (conjugated with N-terminal biotin) to bind and promote internalization of avidin-FITC into b.END3 endothelial cells was examined by labelling their cell surface with CFAG (1 h, 4 °C), followed by incubation with avidin-FITC (30 min, 4 °C). The cells were then incubated at 37 °C for indicated time-points and avidin-FITC localization imaged through confocal microscopy (green signal, FITC; blue signal, Hoechst 33342). Scale bar = 50 µm
