Main representative points of the arterial flow waveform. Example of an arterial flow curve normalized by its cycle-average flow value. M0, M1, and M2 (in blue) denote the three main minima observed in the arterial flow waveform (AFW). AP1, AP2, and AP3 (in green) indicate the three main peaks at the AFW. H0, H1, H2, H3 and H4 (in red) are the half-time points between M0-AP1, AP1-M1, AP2-M2, M2-AP3 and AP3-M0, respectively. M2, known as the dicrotic notch, connotes the end of systole and the beginning of diastole. Points identification and calculation of systole and diastole duration were performed using scripts in MATLAB (version 2019b, Mathworks, Natick, WA, USA)
