The tissue was also processed with substance P immunohistochemistry to distinguish between d and i-MSNs. In each panel, representative proximal and distal dendritic segments of the intracellular dye-filled neurons are shown at the top while the histogram of the corresponding analysis at the bottom. Numbers of dendritic segments, neurons, and rats studied in this part of the experiments are in Table 1.
