Direct CSF Production Measurement in rodent. A lateral ventricle is cannulated with a glass capillary tube, while a needle is connected to tube inserted into the fourth ventricle and used to infuse 1 μL mineral oil to block the aqueduct of Sylvius. The volume of CSF production is measured from the tube in the lateral ventricle, using the measured volume-time relationship.
