The Procedure used for the Ventriculo-cisternal Perfusion in Goat Brain. A cannula is placed in the left lateral ventricle, and aCSF containing a tracer is perfused into the lateral ventricle. ICP is monitored simultaneously. Another cannula is placed in cisterna magna to collect CSF mixed with the aCSF injected into the lateral ventricle. The relative changes in tracer concentration between what is injected into the lateral ventricle and what is collected in the cisterna magna are used to calculate the CSF production rate.
