Altered expression profiles of BBB regulatory miRNAs, lncRNAs, and circRNAs in CNS disorders. During CNS disorders, such as ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury (SCI), glioma and brain metastasis, multiple sclerosis (MS), Alzheimer's disease (AD), vascular cognitive impairment and dementia (VCID), brain infections, diabetes, sepsis-associated encephalopathy (SAE), and others, the structure and the function of BBB has been compromised along with dysregulated non-coding RNA expressions. Modulating the expressional levels of miRNAs, lncRNAs, and circRNAs is able to effectively regulate the BBB damage and recovery during these CNS disorders. “↑”, upregulated non-coding RNA levels, and “↓” downregulated non-coding RNA levels in CNS disorders.
