PSEN mutants display an increased Aβ1–40 secretion and intracellular concentrations. a Aβ1–40 secretion levels in the cell conditioned medium. Cells were allowed to condition in such medium for 24 h before harvesting. Note the extremely high levels in both PSEN1-BMECs and PSEN2-BMECs compared to control.
